Project Overview
This client of ours was looking for a contractor who could finally fix up his long-neglected gravel driveway in Caledonia, New York (Livingston County). After years of dealing with grass growing through the stone, uneven surfaces, and depressions, he found us through Google.
His main goal was to restore the function and look of the driveway that hadn’t been touched since the 1990s. He wanted the surface scraped, freshly graveled, and rolled, something that could make pulling in and out of the driveway smooth again. We were happy to help.

How We Completed the Topsoil and Seeding Project
Driveway Excavation and Preparation
We started by preparing the full 2,500-square-foot driveway and turnaround area. This involved excavating the topsoil and worn-down surface to remove vegetation and loose gravel. A clean base is always the first step to a long-lasting result.

Gravel Delivery & Installation
Once the area was cleared, we supplied, delivered, and applied 31 tons of 5/8” crusher run stone. We laid the stone at a consistent 2-inch thickness across the entire area.
After spreading the stone, everything was compacted and rolled, giving the surface a neat, and clean consistent finish ready for daily use.
