Project Overview
Our client in Middleport, Niagara County, NY reached out to us looking for gravel driveway repair and refresher services. They found us after struggling with a driveway that just wouldn’t hold up. The southern half of their driveway had become rough and bumpy despite years of DIY fixes with extra stone and tractor work. Water drainage was also an issue while the north side sloped down toward the road and drained well, the south side sat lower than the lawn around it, trapping water and leading to potholes and uneven surfaces.

How We Completed the Project
Gravel Driveway Repair and Refresher
We started by repairing the existing 3,000-square-foot driveway surface. Grass was growing in the middle, edges were closing in, and the stone layer had thinned out over time. Our crew scraped down the surface to remove potholes and vegetation, creating a clean base for new stone.
Next, we supplied and delivered 40 tons of #1 Crusher Run driveway stone. The fresh layer was spread evenly at 2 inches thick, addressing the low spots and building up the southern half so it could better handle water runoff.
Once the stone was in place, we graded the entire driveway for proper pitch, then compacted and rolled it to lock everything down.
