Project Overview

A homeowner reached out to us for land clearing and brush cleanup in Albion, New York (Orleans County). She had been thinking about this project for a while and wanted to finally open up space on her property. The right side and back section of her land were overgrown with thick brush and vines.

This project was part of the same work package as the gravel driveway resurfacing project in Albion, NY. Since the driveway was in a different area, we separated the projects and came back the next day to handle that part.

How We Completed the Project

Brush Clearing with Forestry Mulching

We cleared over 3/4 acre of hedgerow brush and vines using a large tracked skid steer with a Fecon Bull Hog forestry mulching attachment. This equipment allowed us to grind down thick vegetation, dead wood, and tangled growth efficiently. Unlike traditional clearing that leaves piles of debris, forestry mulching breaks material down on-site.

Project Insights

Professional land clearing services completely transformed this property. What was once thick brush became open. Clearing the right and back sides of the property gave the homeowner more space, and improved visibility.

For property owners in Western New York, land clearing is often the first step toward bigger improvements. Once the brush is gone, you can:

  • Prepare the site with foundation excavation and grading for a future building.
  • Install a concrete pad or foundation for a garage, barn, or shed.
  • Add drainage systems like French drains to keep the land dry.
  • Spread topsoil and seed grass to turn cleared areas into a healthy lawn.
